"Shrink"...new webseries

Last week, Stacey filmed her first two days on "Shrink".

As mentioned in a previous news post, Shrink is about the psychology of living in London, one of the busiest cities in the world, with such a lonely condition as depression.

The series follows cognitive behaviour therapist "Natasha Charlton" played by Vanessa Donovan , as she battles not only against her own secret fight with depression, but also the pain of her secretive past as well as the intertwining lives of her clients.

Stacey plays "Valerie" in the series, Vanessa's hapless receptionist, who has an unfortunate habit of repeatedly getting on Natasha's bad side.

Written by Katrina Smith-Jackson and directed by Trish M. Chanda, it is to be aired from November 2015.

More news will follow once filming is completed, but for more information or to follow the progress of Shrink, go to http://katrinasmithjackson.tumblr.com or https://www.facebook.com/ShrinkTV?fref=ts

Stacey’s joined a girl band…

Another dream come true...Stacey's joined a girl band. A 1950's rock 'n' roll girl band, to be specific! Tonight is her first gig and she can't wait!

A quote from the band's website...

"The Daisy Chains are six petticoated girls that all sing in beautiful close harmony as well as play drums, guitar, bass, trumpet, tenor and baritone saxophones!

As well as being accomplished musicians, the girls are all experienced performers having played in shows such as 'Dreamboats and Petticoats’, ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, ‘Carnaby Street’ and ‘Save the Last Dance for Me' on National Tours and in London's West End.

We play fantastic bespoke arrangements of old and new songs, ranging from Paulo Nutini and Eliza Doolittle to classic Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. Having played at The Grand National and at events ranging from Footballers' Weddings to Festivals, the girls were quite rightly voted Best Vintage Band at the London Vintage Awards 2014!

The Daisy Chains will be sure to make you Twist Again like you did At The Hops of yester year!"

For any more details about the band, or if you want to book the band and rock 'n' roll like there's no tomorrow, go to: http://www.thedaisychains.co.uk

Bucket List!

Bucket List!

A message from Stacey:

"WOOOOOOOW! What a night!

So, tonight I went to see my absolute, all-time favourite band on the planet, 'Straight No Chaser', perform at the Sage: Gateshead. I've seen them there before, when they first came to the UK in 2012. Now...before I go any further, I urge you...nay, I DEMAND that you go straght over to YouTube and type in 'Straight No Chaser - 12 Days (original from 1998)' , watch, and enjoy! And if you're not instantly hooked on them like I was, then please seek profesisonal help. (Also, their version of 'Fix You' gets me EVERY time!) 10 guys. No instruments. Just voices! They have arranged and performed so many beauuuuutiful pieces music, that I defy anyone not to enjoy them and their work. I'm in awe.

Anyhoo, tonight I went back to the Sage to watch them again, but this time, as an extra special Christmas present (I literally asked for NOTHING else this year!), I was given Meet and Greet VIP tickets. BOOM! So I went along with my Gran and Mam and met them before the show. We had a Q & A session, and then they performed two numbers...only thing...one of them happened to include me! GAH! I had mentioned and tweeted that they happened to feature on my Bucket List, and sure enough, in true gentlemanly, SNC style, they invited me up on stage to sing 'Rolling in the Deep' with them. (The video is on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPWw8KleSMk) or on my 'Videos' page, should you fancy a gander!)

"Incredible" doesn't quite cover it! Honest and truly, the best night of my entire life, thus far! Thank you @SNCmusic from the bottom of my heart!
